Abstract
HPV16 infection is closely associated with cervical carcinomas. A lot of investigation indicate that HPV16 E6/E7 proteins can act as tumor rejection antigens. So an HPV16E6 leukaryotic expression plasmid pcDNA3/E6 was constructed and transfected into Cos7 cells, which expressed E6 protein in vitro. Animal experiments proved that intramuscular immunization with plasmid pcDNA3/E6 could elicit specific immunoresponse against HPV16 E6 in mice. All these results suggest that E6 DNA vaccine can serve as a candidate therapeutic vaccine for HPV16 associated diseases in humans.
