Abstract
Efforts aimed at developing a uniform description of muscle tendon moment arms in flexion-extension for the normal knee, the ACL-minus knee, and two knee-prosthesis combinations are discussed. These efforts are generally intended to improve understanding of normal knee mechanics, aid in the description of specifications for improved prosthesis design, and in defining the effects of knee prostheses on muscle mechanics.
