Abstract

A 22-year-old woman, with a 1-year history of bulimia and a 10-year history of trichotillomania of the eyebrows, eyelashes, and pubic area, was treated using a hypnobehavioral approach. Behavioral techniques and hypnotic suggestions were used to eliminate both behaviors. At 6 months follow-up, the patient reported no further episodes of either bulimia or trichotillomania.
