Abstract

Specific aspects of rat lipid and lipoprotein metabolism are discussed as they potentially relate to gerontological investigation of humans. Findings reported in the literature concerning rat lipid and lipoprotein metabolism are reviewed with the purpose of developing a suitable model for investigating age-related changes in this system.
