Abstract
In this feature, my colleague and I describe an approach we use to engage students in applied evidence-based medicine. This prediction exercise allows the student to take on the perspective of a patient with a medical condition requiring treatment. It also gives the student an opportunity to search for evidence and evaluate the cost versus benefit of various treatments. This learning exercise is popular with students who are eager to see how the course material relates to PA practice.
