N2 - With the advent of high performance computer graphic workstations over the last decade, kinematic modeling of the human musculoskeletal system is developing rapidly. Previous kinematic models have been developed but their workstations and/or software have become outdated. Buford and Thompson (1987) developed an interactive kinematic simulation, but it is no longer utilizable because the software was developed on the outdated Evans and Sutherland (E&S) PS300 system. Lin, et, al. (1995) developed a threedimensional kinematic simulation using PHIGS programming software. Since PHIGS is no longer the accepted standard for graphics software, this simulation has lost its portability.
