Abstract
A reproducible isoelectic focusing method has been developed which displays the structural proteins of hair. By staining with the photochemically derived stain, hair protein variability was observed. On a limited number of individuals, five different isoelectric focusing patterns were detected. In addition, polychromatic differences of proteins with similar isoelectric points were found.
