The 3D kinematic analysis of the carpometacarpal (CMC) joints was investigated. The 3D paths for each target on the triad paths were determined by using the direct linear transformation method and the ExpertVision system. It was found that the overall mobility of the 2nd and 3rd CMC joints is limited compared to the 4th and 5th CMC joints.
