Area of Expertise

PA Holmes currently teaches Evidence-Based Medicine, Medical Outpatient Coding, Master's Project, and a range of other medical topics at the UNTHSC. He is the Chair for the North Texas Regional IRB and has conducted research in the Trandgender Health and Clinical Anatomy arenas. He also conducts Ally and LGBTQ+ Relations training across the U.S. His clinical work has ranged from family medicine across several specialties and most recently involved providing home-based medical care for the mentally and physically challenged. He graduated from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program in 2000 and retired honorably from the Air Force after 22 years of service. He is the faculty advisor for the HSC Pride (LGBTQ+) Student Group and completed his dissertation for his Doctorate in Education specializing in Distance and Computer-based Learning. He spends his free time with his husband baking bread, growing zinnias, and animating squeaky toys for their adorable beagles.
