Area of Expertise
Dr. Nnaka's research focuses on improving health outcomes and compliance to complex self-management and preventive health behaviors among ethnic minority populations living with hypertension, heart failure, and vascular dementia through digital therapeutics (DTx). His research uniquely investigates the tailoring of digitized cardiovascular disease prevention, self-management, and treatment methods to meet the unique cultural needs and treatment preferences of ethnic minority groups. His goal is to contribute towards bridging racial and ethnic disparity gaps in cardiovascular disease health outcomes through an intentional health equity intervention design and implementation.
