Area of Expertise
I am a retired US Army officer with 22 years of service and a Distinguished Fellow of American Academy of Physician Assistants. My primary interest is family medicine primary care, preventive medicine, research, and being a mentor for Physician Assistant students and DO medical students. I am currently the Associate Director for the Physician Assistant Studies Program, course director for Ear, Nose, and Throat, and Clinical Coordinator for third year PA students’ Clinical Elective rotations. I am also a member of PA faculty facilitating medical students to apply the knowledge learned from the medical systems course utilizing the Facilitated Team Learning Module (FTLM): guiding individual students and the group to ask the best high yield questions, to apply clinical reasoning in order to develop skills to formulate the most likely differential diagnoses, and to isolate the best assessment and plan for patient care.
