Area of Expertise

I am a nurse practitioner employed for the past eighteen years in the Internal Medicine Department Division of Geriatrics at UNTHSC. I also assist in covering a large long-term care assisted living, and house-call practice in Tarrant County. I work with the fourth-year medical students as a clinical preceptor, assist with didactics, and work with the fellows in long-term care. I serve as a clinical preceptor for both Texas Woman's University and The University of Texas at Arlington for nurse practitioner students and have been named as adjunct clinical faculty at UTA. I am a speaker for the Alzheimer’s Association in the community and have given many lectures on dementia and caregiving for dementia patients. I am involved in educational programs for continuing education units for nurses and CNA's in long-term care facilities.
