My research experience has predominantly been at UT Southwestern Medical Center with the Dallas Heart Study. As an exercise physiologist, I became interested in cardiovascular risk factors and cognitive functioning. My research interests include ethnic and racial health disparities, mental health outcomes, and using exercise to prevent or reduce chronic illnesses.
