Area of Expertise
Oversees all areas reporting to the Office of the Provost including five schools and colleges, the Division of Student and Academic Affairs, the Division of Academic Innovation and the Gibson D. Lewis Library.
Provides strategic direction and promotes academic excellence in teaching, research, and service. Under his visionary leadership, HSC has developed several new graduate degree and professional certificate programs in response to local workforce needs that have garnered historic student enrollment. Additionally, the University launched their first undergraduate program, a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, in August 2022.
Has been instrumental in university accreditation, implementation of academic budgetary and policy priorities, and key results of HSC strategic priorities such as the launch of HSC Learning Plus, an expansion of the continuing and professional studies’ programs.
