Ali studies the governments’ interactions in multinational markets. He has investigated and explained the governments’ incentives behind events such as simultaneous liberalization of different industries, using subsidization as a trade strategy instrument and how the governments use various domestic policy tools with an eye on their international competition. He also follows and studies the economies and healthcare sector in the Middle East and North Africa and writes about them regularly.
